About Juliana Chaves

Hi and Hola everyone! My name is Juliana Chaves. I am a board-certified primary care pediatric nurse practitioner. After growing up in Johnstown, PA, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with my Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Upon graduating, I began my nursing career as a registered nurse in an adult neurovascular intensive care unit at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA. Although I learned so much from so many great neurosurgeons, I found my true passion for caring for children when working in pediatric home health. I have been working with children in nursing for almost 6 years now.

After moving to Tampa, I welcomed my daughter and finished my life-long goals of obtaining my Master's in Nursing Practice with a specialty in pediatric primary care from the University of South Florida in 2023. I am so excited to be a part of Sunshine Pediatrics and walk with you and your family on this incredible journey called life!
